Considering it's mid-September, it's about time I bite the bullet and start sorting through the hundreds of pictures we (ok, mostly "I") took at the North Shore...in July.
Friday morning, the pediatrician called and gave us the ok to head north and a new prescription for Walter. We decided to take our time getting to our destination - so we made a Gander Mountain stop before heading over to Target to pick up the new medication. The Benadryl seemed to be doing it's job keeping the hives at bay and allowed Walter to get a nap in on the drive. As we neared Duluth, the mood in our car turned sour and we discussed turning around - but wouldn't you know it, it was nothing a few Happy Meals couldn't take care of! We met up with Gramps, Grandma, Madison (cousin) and the Mimis at the traditional Two Harbors DQ stop.
Checking in with the DQ bear.
We caught up with more cousins at Gooseberry Falls. The boys enjoyed having a little time to explore and climb with the Mimis.
Henry and a Civilian Conservation Worker.
Henry couldn't wait to get to our cabin. When we finally climbed out of the car, he stretched his arms and said, "Ahh, this is Paradise!" It really must be his personal paradise because he was out on the rocks all day long, no matter what the weather.
