Hide and Seek

I spy...look very carefully. See anything?

Did you spot these sweet toes in the first picture?

"Surprise!" This was W's favorite place to hide today when we played Hide and Seek. Of course, his big brother caught on quickly when he saw the toes under the door...and then he joined in on the hiding, too.

A Good Nap

Walter was completely exhausted when we got home last Sunday after spending the morning at church and then meeting with our small group for lunch and Bible study. He fell asleep in the car, woke up briefly when we got home, but couldn't keep his eyes open when I put him on the couch to take off his coat and shoes...

Jumping Game

Henry loves creating games - "This is my favorite game." He calls this one The Jumping Game and he thinks it's fun.

Obstacle Course

A few weeks ago, before bronchitis hit our home, Nate set up an obstacle course in the living room and dining room for the boys. They had so much fun...especially when Nate chased them. Our furniture may not last 20 years, but at least the boys will be in shape (and I'll survive this winter)...

Starting line: Jump from the ottoman and hop from chair to chair...

...climb up the bookshelf and over the back of the couch...

...across the piano bench...

...down the slide...

...through the tunnel...

...run around the dining room table...

...roll across the finish line!

Harmonicas

The boys have already decided on some favorite singers. Waylon Jennings has been Henry's favorite since he came home. Waylon singing, "This Time" was the only thing that would stop Henry when he was crying in the car - as soon as he started singing, the crying stopped. Walter has settled on Johnny Cash because he likes listening to his "Choo Choo Song" (otherwise known as "The Orange Blossom Special").

A few weeks ago we were listening to Mr. Cash as we drove to BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). Henry was admiring the harmonica work in "Orange Blossom Special" and mentioned that he'd like a harmonica "like Johnny." Just so happened I found a cheap one a few hours later. Since then the boys have enjoyed playing their harmonicas - they've even played along with Waylon and Johnny in the car.

An early morning concert - this in the middle when they had some twirling going on while they played. Pretty talented.

Winter Biking

Biking scenes from our house this month - these are the best pictures we could get since they were moving at top-spead...
