Working Out & Officer Henry
Nate and I have been trying to work out each day. Henry really likes our new schedule because he gets to watch a DVD of his choice while we exercise. It's pretty crazy to watch him set up a place for the portable DVD player, plug it in, turn it on, put the disc in and press play. How old is he again? Here he is waiting for his movie to start: He's sitting in his comfy chair with his "bankey" and bear. I'll spare you the horror of seeing any pictures of us trying to do yoga!

A few days ago Henry found a little plastic business card holder in the house. He would walk around and then hand it to us and then take it back. This morning he pulled up on his trike, handed me his card holder and told me he was a policeman! Then he proceeded to take his "badge" back and put it in the waistband of his pants! I have no idea where he learned this - I have never been pulled over so it wasn't from any firsthand experience!

New Pictures of Walter
We received a wonderful surprise this afternoon. Our country specialist sent us 2 updated pictures of Walter. We can't believe how much hair he has now! It looks like our care package for Walter arrived because he is holding the photo album and wearing the outfit we sent in it. His foster mom is a thoughtful woman!

Smoothies
After buying an enormous bag of strawberries at Costco last week, I suddenly realized I needed to start getting creative! So, Henry and I had fun making smoothies last week for an afternoon snack. He likes adding the ingredients, but can hardly wait to push the blender buttons. Unbelievably, Henry turned down a chocolate chip cookie in favor of a smoothie - Nate and I were both shocked!

Independence
Our little boy is growing up so quickly. He has learned so many things. At bedtime he can undress himself and throw his clothes down the laundry chute! I couldn't help but laugh when I caught him trying to take his shirt off by himself after lunch last week. As you can see, getting his shirt off is still a little challenging.

Pretzel Play
Keeping Busy
Although we've been able to get outside and play in the snow, the wind and cold have kept us inside a lot. Thankfully, we are keeping busy. Right now he likes doing puzzles, riding on his truck, playing with cars, getting chased, making forts, baking with me, building with duplo blocks, reading and playing "Perfect Nest." Mimi 1 gave him a book called "The Perfect Nest" and he likes to re-enact it.

Here is Henry's play dough snowman with a very tall hat. He really wants to make a real snowman but we don't have the right kind of snow right now.

Mama and Boppa A. gave Henry the game "Memory" for Christmas and he loves playing it many times each day. His mind is like a steel trap - he creams me every time! It starts first thing in the morning after he gets his juice and says, "Memmy game. Memmy game."

We've also been very busy playing with trains. Mimi 2 gave him wooden train tracks and he has been making good use of them.
